Injury update: New recruit suffers devastating blow ahead of debut season

The Gold Coast Titans have been dealt another devastating injury blow with new recruit Ivana Lolesio ruled out of the 2024 NRLW campaign due to a season-ending knee injury.

Sidelined in the 20th minute during Burleigh’s BMD Premiership clash against Mackay on Saturday, scans have revealed the 20-year-old will require surgery for a ruptured ACL.

Facing a lengthy stint on the sidelines, the entire club is right behind her in her recovery.

The second Titan set to miss the upcoming season with Destiny Mino-Sinapati also requiring knee surgery, the Titans have again begun the process with the NRL to have a replacement player approved to join the top 24 roster following Lolesio’s injury.

No replacement has been named yet for Mino-Sinapati.
