Rebecca Frizelle - Chairman

As the Gold Coast Titans new chairman, Rebecca Frizelle brings to the role 25 years of business and workforce development, strategic skills, international negotiating experience and a unique depth of involvement in the Gold Coast community.

She has played a major role in the Frizelle group growing from 16 staff to its current workforce of 540 in six locations and two states, although she attributes great credit to the incredible team and strong management culture she has worked with, led by her father-in-law and company founder James and her husband Brett. 

Darryl Kelly – Director

Kelly a Bachelor of Economics, was a driving force in a Wagga Wagga based company that sold quarry materials to builders and developers before it acquired quarries and ready mix concrete operations with investments in Wagga Wagga, Albury-Wodonga and Canberra.

The company’s private investments now centre in property, mainly in South East Queensland and Wagga, after it established a finance company and a real estate investment group which are now merged into the one entity. Darryl has also long been involved in rugby league as chairman or treasurer of Wagga Rugby League for a decade, and is widely credited with saving rugby league in Wagga Wagga when it hit major difficulties. He was awarded the NRL Volunteer of the Year award for his effort.

Paul Donovan – Director

Paul Donovan has more than 40 years’ experience in aviation and tourism. Paul’s current position is Executive General Manager Development and Marketing for Queensland Airports Ltd – a role in which he leverages his significant experience, extensive knowledge of, and contacts within, the tourism and aviation industries. Paul has taken a leading role in establishing direct flights between Gold Coast and China amongst other Asia Pacific destinations.

Paul’s past roles include Chief Operating Officer at Gold Coast Airport from2005 to 2014. Paul was responsible for the day-to-day operations and several key projects: delivery of a runway extension, a $100 million terminal redevelopment, a long-term car park, the 2011 airport master plan, the expansion of Tower Road with an increased fuel facility holding, additional apron parking, as well as terminal and apron changes to facilitate the current growth. Paul had previous roles at Executive level for Ansett, Air New Zealand and Qantas.

Paul has been a member of the Golds Coast Tourism Board since 2005 and Chairman since 2007 Paul is board director of Tourism and Events Queensland.

Tony Hickey - Director

Tony Hickey is the owner / managing partner of Hickey Lawyers.

He was a founding partner in one of the largest legal firms on the Gold Coast, Rapp Hickey Morgan Power, established in 1981. He later established his own business, Hickey Lawyers, which has grown to become one of the largest, if not the largest, legal firms on the Gold Coast with a staff of 60 including 20 lawyers.

He has gained extensive experience and particular expertise in property development, tourism and construction law and commercial litigation. In particular, Tony has been responsible for attracting significant foreign investors from Europe and Asia to invest in businesses and development in Australia, where he is responsible for the identification of opportunities and the management of those opportunities and assets for the foreign investors.

Tony has extensive experience assisting investors in property development has seen him develop a keen interest in urban design and architecture. This interest has inspired the creation of his own development known as St Thomas Place on Chevron Island, on the Gold Coast. This innovative project embraces such concepts as the modern above ground garage, vertical green wall designed by French Botanist Patrick Blanc and other significant environmental and cultural features.

Professor Ned Pankhurst - Director

Professor Pankhurst is Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor at Griffith University. Previously he was Deputy Vice Chancellor (research) and Provost Gold Coast and prior to that Pro Vice Chancellor (Science, Environment, Engineering and Technology), having joined Griffith in September 2006 from James Cook University where he had held the position of Pro Vice Chancellor of Science, Engineering and Information Technology since early 2004.

Prof Pankhurst's research interests lie in the area of biology of fishes including the reproductive physiology and endocrinology of fishes, bloodstock management of fishes in aquaculture, and the effects of climate change on fish reproduction. He has published widely in the field and routinely reviews for international journals.

Trish Hogan - Director

Trish Hogan is the CEO of Pindara Private Hospital. She has been in the health and education industries for the past 38 years in both the public and private sectors. Having managed many hospitals and health services in Queensland, South Australia, the ACT and NSW, she has lived through the changing face of the Australian workforce for women.

Trish has studied at the Queensland Institute of Technology, the University of Queensland and the University of New South Wales, and her qualifications include nursing, a Bachelor of Educational Studies and a Master of Health Administration.

Trish was publicly recognised for her work in 2006 when she was awarded the inaugural Tweed Woman of the Year award for leadership in health services in Northern NSW. She also owns and operates a medical adventure education company Medicine on the Edge which runs conferences around the globe.

Lynne Anderson  - Director

Lynne is the CEO of the Australian Paralympic Committee after spending seven years as managing director of Repucom, Australia and New Zealand, an international market leader in research and data collection in the sports and entertainment industries.

She is from one of rugby league’s most famous families, as the daughter of former Canterbury Bulldogs CEO and ARL director Peter Moore, and wife of former NRL and Australian coach Chris Anderson.

However she has established her own impressive reputation and has been involved in the marketing side of the sport since taking on the Bulldogs’ marketing manager’s role in 1993. In 1998 she established S-Comm, a sponsorship and sports business consultancy which specialised in sponsorship research and evaluation. The business was sold to Repucom in 2007.

Graham Annesley – CEO

Former NSW Minister for Sport and Recreation and cabinet member, chief operating officer of the National Rugby League and national customer service manager for McWilliams Wine and DHL Worldwide Express. He gave up his position with the NSW Government to take up the position of CEO of the Titans in October 2013.

Graham was also a first grade and international rugby league referee, officiating in more than 250 first grade games, plus State of Origin and International Test matches.
