The Titans Cup & Challenge was first held in 2006, one year before the Titans began in the NRL Premiership. The competition has provided local Gold Coast schools with the opportunity to compete in a regular interschool competition which had been lacking in the area. The competition allows schools that are not capable of competing in the elite GIO Cup Schoolboy Competition a fun and safe environment to still enjoy Rugby League.
The Titans Cup & Titans Challenge is an open age school boys competition which allows schools with less Rugby League experience to play in an environment where they can gain the necessary skills to develop themselves into better rugby league players. In 2016, 15 teams from 13 schools will compete across the two divisions on Wednesday evenings during term two at local JRL clubs to be crowned champions.
