2013 Player Reviews - Anthony Don
Friday 4 October 2013 1:00 PM
With the 2013 season wrapped up for the iSelect Titans, we take a look back at each player's performance throughout the year and preview what's in store in 2014.
The rise of winger Anthony Don was one of the iSelect Titans’ success stories of 2013, with the Grafton youngster winning the club’s Rookie of the Year title.
Capping a meteoric rise from playing local rugby league for the Grafton Ghosts only two years earlier, Don was hopeful of notching just one NRL game to his name in 2013 but went on to make 13 appearances for the Titans.
He crossed for seven tries in that period to finish the year as one of the club’s top try scorers, behind only try scoring machines Kevin Gordon, David Mead and Albert Kelly.
The year would also prove to be a learning curve for the 26-year-old, who rebounded from a tough day on the wing in the club’s 46-16 loss to the Knights in Newcastle by helping the Titans to three wins from their final five matches.
With another pre-season under his belt in the build-up to 2014, Don is sure to again sure to feature prominently for the Titans.
