iSelect Titans forward Luke Douglas is hoping a solid pre-season will help him finally win a NSW Origin spot as he prepares to attend the Emerging Blues camp this weekend.
Douglas was 18th man for NSW in Game 3 in 2010, and after gaining selection in Laurie Daley’s Emerging Blues squad, alongside Titans teammates Jamal Idris and Aidan Sezer, Douglas remains firmly in selector’s minds.
With 170 consecutive NRL games under his belt, and having represented the Prime Ministers XIII on three occasions, Douglas will look to Titans teammate Nate Myles as an example, with Myles having excelled on the representative stage in recent years.
Douglas said the Titans were showing promising signs throughout the pre-season and looking forward to a big 2013, with the club aiming to improve on what was a disappointing opening to 2012.
The Emerging Blues squad will converge on Coogee this weekend where NSW Origin coach, Laurie Daley will use the camp as preparation for the 2013 State of Origin series.
