Test duo Nate Myles and Greg Bird could be forgiven for still being in holiday mode just a month after playing in Australia’s end-of-season Test against the Kiwis.
But instead the pair have been slogging it out at pre-season training for the iSelect Gold Coast Titans, with the senior duo keen to set the standard for the club’s younger brigade over the off-season.
Myles, in particular, was a noticeable front runner in today’s 2km time trial - finishing third overall behind renowned speedster William Zillman – and grabbing the attention of his teammates in the process.
