Titans trio named in Emerging Blues squad
Monday 17 December 2012 12:48 PM
iSelect Gold Coast Titans trio Jamal Idris, Aidan Sezer and Luke Douglas have been handed a pre-season boost by being named in a 22-man Emerging Blues squad for a three-day camp to be held in January.
The players are all NRL experienced and have been handpicked by new coach Laurie Daley and the NSWRL High Performance Unit with the consideration that they will wear the famous sky blue jersey in the very near future.
"Some of the guys have already played at a State of Origin level," Daley said.
"We want these players Origin ready from the moment they receive the phone call and camps like these are essential for us to get them into that space.
"You look at a guy like Josh Reynolds who has progressed through the VB NSW Cup and starred this year for the Bulldogs. It is about helping players like him transition through to this next level of Rugby League."
The Camp will take place over three days at Coogee beginning Friday, January 18.

The iSelect Gold Coast Titans will host two Queensland derbies in the opening six rounds, including a Friday night blockbuster against the Brisbane Broncos at Robina Stadium on Friday, April 11.
It's been seven years since he handed in his red-and-whites for the light blue and gold of the Gold Coast but veteran Titans prop Luke Bailey says there is still something special about facing the Dragons.
