New recruit David Taylor today stepped out onto Skilled Park for the first time in iSelect Gold Coast Titans colours as the club unveiled its new home and away jerseys for the 2013 season.
Taylor and young gun hooker Matt Srama (both pictured) today unveiled the new-look home and away adidas jerseys for 2013, which feature a more pronounced Titans ‘T’ on the front of the jersey in place of the Titan swords which were used previously.
It is the first major change to the club’s jersey since the 2010 season.
Fresh off the production line, the jerseys will be on sale for Titans members at the special discounted price of $130 at tomorrow’s annual Members Christmas Party at the Broadwater Parklands, Southport.
The jerseys will also be available for fans through the club’s official merchandise store at Pacific Fair.
Today’s launch marked Taylor’s first steps onto Skilled Park in Titans colours and the hulking forward said he was impressed with both the jersey and the stadium which he will call home in 2013.
“It’s a really good design I think, I really like it and I think they’ve done a good job,’’ said Taylor.
“It’s really exciting. I don’t think I’ve played a bad game at Skilled and I don’t think I’ve lost a game here either.
“I’m really excited to finally get here and I love this field. I’d have to say it’s probably the best field in the NRL so I’m really excited to be able to play on this every second week.’’
Srama, who has only missed one match for the club since breaking through as a rookie during the 2011 season, also liked what he saw in the new playing strip.
“I like the fresh new design, it’s always good to change things up with the ‘T’ representing the Titans,’’ said Srama.
“We’ve kept all the same colours which is nice so I’m really pleased with the outcome.’’
