Gaby Barns had no idea how lucky she would be when she wishfully entered a Telstra competition with the prize of heading to Miami to meet British boy band One Direction.

The schools trainee, who had spent a day a week during 2014 in the Titans office helping the community and development departments, won the competition and last week her dream came true.

She took popular Titans staffer Eden Cartwright with her for the brief trip of a lifetime that included five nights in Florida and attending the One Direction gig. After the concert they were invited back stage to meet the boys.

"It was just amazing," said Gaby of Reedy Creek, “the guys were so lovely to us, it was kind of surreal that I was standing next to them.”

Eden was just as delighted and thankful Gaby selected her to accompany her on the whirlwind trip.

“It’s an experience I’ll remember for a long time to come that’s for sure. They are probably the most famous people walking the planet right now so to see how humble and down to earth they are was really refreshing.”
