There is still time to book your place at the Titans' social event of the year, our ninth annual charity ball at Jupiters Hotel and Casino.

Tickets are $235 single or $2300 for a table of ten.

Well over a million dollars have been raised for worthy causes in the eight balls to date and the recipients of this very worthwhile event this year are Ronald McDonald House (Charities SE Qld) and White Ribbon.

Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful organisation that provides a home away from home for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment.

It can be so devastating for families to suddenly find they have a child with a critical illness who requires long-term or regular hospitalisation. To have a homely and well catered for environment for family members, who are often forced to travel a long way to obtain specialist treatment, can be a great comfort.

Many families simply don’t have family members nearby to provide a temporary home and can’t afford to stay in hotels while their children receive treatment.

Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Inc. comprises of two houses situated at Herston and Mater hospitals which cater for 71 families. It is a pleasure for us to support such a worthy concept.

White Ribbon is Australia’s only national male-led campaign to end men’s violence against women, with a mission is to make women’s safety a man’s issue too.

Many high profile men from sport, the arts, politics and other fields have passionately involved themselves in the awareness campaign, and rugby league is prominent.

White Ribbon’s campaign recognises the positive role that men can play in preventing violence against women by openly challenging the attitudes and behaviours of a minority of men who use or condone violence against women.
