Gold Coast Titans CEO, Graham Annesley, was last night advised that Titans player Paul Carter was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning and subsequently charged with mid-range drink driving whilst unlicenced.

This incident follows a similar charge for drink driving in June which resulted in the cancellation of his driver’s licence by the Courts, as well as a $12,000 fine and a 2 match suspension imposed by the club.

After consulting with the Gold Coast Titans Board of Directors last night and earlier today, the club has formally notified Mr Carter of its intention to terminate his playing contract subject to his right to appear before the Board later this week should he wish to do so.

There will be no further comment from the Club until this process has been completed.
