The Aquis Gold Coast Titans can confirm that back-rower David Taylor has been released from the final year of his contract and will take up a two-year deal with the Catalans Dragons in the English Super League competition from 2016.

The Dragons issued a release overnight confirming the deal and Taylor informed his teammates of his plans after last night’s 24-14 victory against Parramatta at Cbus Super Stadium.

Taylor is determined to contribute to a strong finish by the Titans in the last five rounds of the NRL competition.

“I have always wanted to play in the Super League at some stage and the opportunity has come from Catalans and I’m excited to add a new chapter to my career,” Taylor said.

“The more open style of Super League is my style of football and I’m excited to get the chance to enjoy that and hopefully help bring some success for the Catalans Dragons.”
