Shannon Walker, whose campaign to land a Titans contract starts at the Auckland Nines, talks about dropping his Olympic dream to have a second crack at the NRL.

The flying utility back was in the Australian Rugby Sevens squad that will compete at the Rio de Janiero in August but gave up a possible medal campaign for his family, and a return to the Gold Coast.

He was at the Titans in 2008-10 as a young, slight flying machine but it back now stronger and, at 27, determined to earn another opportunity to establish himself in the NRL competition.

So the pre-season is important to him and his experience in Rugby Sevens will be vital to the Aquis Titans' chances during the weekend.
