Titans back-rower Greg Bird fronted the media from inside NSW State of Origin camp at Coffs Harbour and spoke of his passion for the Blues cause.

He speaks about some of the highly-discussed NSW selections and the combative nature of Origin football.

"I guess the days of Origin being a bash up and no rules are gone," he said. "You have to walk that line but there still that battlle in the middle of the field, and tussle for domination in field position and to physically dominate the other forward pack ... so there is a place for the aggressive nature of State of Origin and I think we have a great arsenal to combat that.

"Klemmer, Jimmy Tamau, Saron Woods, they are big bodies and they run aggressively and hopefully that will work in our favour."

Below is a gallery of Birdy's journey as a Blues representative, from the under-17s when he first wore a NSW jersey.
