The Aquis Titans take to the road, well the skies, on Friday for the round 13 and 14 clashes with the Rabbitohs and Eels.

The side plays Souths in Perth this Sunday and then leaves for Darwin to take on Parramatta the following Saturday.

Co-captain William Zillman and experienced forward Zeb Taia explained to the media how the trip can be a positive rather than a task for the close-knit team.

"I think the boys will be well prepared for the trip on the road and I know I'm looking forward to it," said Taia.

"What comes into play is the preparation, what you do everyday with your spare time ... and the food you eat; you need to be strict with that sort of thing."

Zillman said the team knows what a crucial period it is around Origin time: "It will be quite hot and humid in Darwin, so it might be trying conditions - it's the humidity that gets you up there.

"We lost five game sin a row which can really hurt you; we were going pretty well before that.

"Two wins is great leading into the bye but we really need to set our sights to winning the next three or four of our next five games. To make the top eight we need to string some wins together and that's what we need to do.

"We're spending pretty much every day together so it is a camp-type situation and midway through the hear it could be a real positive for us."
