Gold Training under-20s coach Ben Woolf has had to make three late changes to his side to play the Raiders tomorrow (11.45am) due to injury.

He loses winger Jordan Birch who scored three tries on Monday night against Manly, in-form five-eighth Josh Rogers and prop Kurt Bernard.

They will be replaced by David Pritchard who had been selected on the bench, Blake Lenehan and Jerome Veve who will come off the bench up front.

The Titans, who beat Canberra 42-20 at GIO Stadium in round 4, are 10th on the ladder two points ahead of the Raiders so the performance tomorrow could be crucial to the team’s finals chances.

The Raiders went down 38-10 to ninth-placed Brisbane before having the bye last weekend so they will go into the clash fresh and hungry.

“The Raiders are a bit like us in they started the season strongly but had a run of losses but they are a tough side to beat on their day,” Woolf said.

“We have to be a lot more solid in defence. After being good against Manly on Monday to lead 54-6 we dropped off and we have to improve.

“We haven’t really found that consistency over 80 minutes this season and having so many injuries and having to make team changes after the first few rounds may have contributed.

“But we have to be more consistent in our effort and concentration if we want to play finals football.”

Get down early to see this exciting young side tomorrow. Kick-off is 11.45am with gates opening five minutes earlier.
