Titans football staff members - physio Greg Condon and speed and rehab man Adam Paulo - were coerced into 'sprint' challenge in Auckland today.

Titans players could not let the opportunity go to insist the two go head to head after seeing the world class sprint surface at the stadium where New Zealand's best rehearse for the upcoming Olympics.

With a wildly enthusiastic audience of players and 40 locals who were at training, 'Pistol' Paulo and 'Flash' Condon went head to head to over 40 metres on the synthetic track at Trust Arena after the team completed their Captain's Run session.

Former national beach flags champion Condon showed copybook technique against the man who is responsible for sprint coaching at the Titans and was challenged to see if he could practise what he preaches.

With plenty in reserve, Condon crossed the line a stride in front ... giving him bragging rights for the plane trip home.

However onlookers described the match-race as more of a canter/lope than an actual sprint.

Have a look at two class athletes in action. Josh Hoffman's commentary is worth the entry price!
