It's Men of League round and the Titans old boys day. Brett Horsnell says he may not be here if not for the support of Men of League in tough times.

One of the Gold Coast Titans best early prospects, the first Queenslander to captain the Australian Schoolboys, tells of his struggles post-career and how Men of League have given him much needed support.

And he has a message for others who may be too proud to reach out.

Horsnell, originally a five-eighth or centre, played 154 NRL games for the Giants/Seagulls, South Queensland Crushers and Parramatta between 1989-98, before finishing in the Gold Coast league.

But, like many in the first generation of full-time players, he confronted issues after that.
