In this week's Aquis Community Wrap we invited the Leukaemia Foundation to our game against the Parramatta Eels on Friday night.

The Leukaemia Foundation is Australia's peak body for blood cancer, funding research and provide free services to support people with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders, and their families.

The Leukaemia Foundation has had a 10 year relationship with the Titans 'World’s Greatest Shave' initiative and the annual O’Dwyer Shield in memory of Foundation Titan Luke O’Dwyer’s brother who sadly passed away of Leukaemia.

We invited the Leukaemia Foundation to join us for our Aquis Community Group match day experience. Some of the Gold Coast based patients attended our Friday night clash with our VIP guest and his family Kobi Maynard. Kobi came to captains run prior to the game, presented the match ball for us and sat on the bench with his family for the match! Kobi had his head shaved a couple of weeks ago with some of our Aquis Titans players in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the Leukaemia Foundation to help find a cure for this disease.

This week we’re also supporting Cad’s Cause which aims to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation's Andrew Cadigan PHD research scholarship. The scholarship is named in memory of former Aquis Titans media manager Neil Cadigan’s son Andrew.

Thanks again to Aquis for making this opportunity able for the Leukaemia Foundation and giving them a match day experience like none other!
