School Competitions

Titans School Boys Competition

The Titans School Boys Competitions began as the Titans Cup & Challenge in 2006 as a two-tier, open age competition for local Gold Coast high schools. The competition provides schools with less rugby league experience the opportunity to compete in a regular interschool competition in a fun and safe environment where they develop themselves into better rugby league teams. High schools from South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales are welcome to enter teams into the competition.

In 2017 the year 9/10 division was introduced expanding the competition further with more teams playing with their open aged counterparts. The year 7/8 division was introduced in 2018 to include all high school year levels moving forward to provide a pathway for students to advance through with their school.

Congratulations to those schools who participated during the 2020 season.

Titans Karyn Murphy Cup

Formerly known as the Titans Girls Nines Competition, the Titans Karyn Murphy Cup links in with the newly formed state wide competition named after the former Queensland and Australian Jillaroos captain. The Karyn Murphy Cup will offer females of all ages across Queensland the opportunity to participate in a state-wide competition which will be the first of its kind.

Female participation is the fastest growing area of Rugby League. The NRL is committed to establishing a clear female player pathway with regional, state and elite representative opportunities. The competition is played in the nines Rugby League format under the NRL Safe Play Code, allowing girls the perfect environment to safely try their hand at the sport or advance their skills further.

Congratulations to all schools who competed in the 2020 season.

School Gala Days

The NRL, with the support of the Gold Coast Titans, will host Rugby League gala days for primary and high schools during the year. The gala days will be played in various formats and locations with schools with smaller numbers and less experience encouraged to get involved to help develop better Rugby League players. Schools can enter teams in a number of age and ability divisions to best suit their team capability.

Information about each gala days will be sent to schools with all the details about the day and how to register your team. For further information, please email Mako Roberts
