New recruit Brad Tighe wasted little time getting used to life as a Titan as he tackled a beep test head-on in his first training session on the Gold Coast this morning.

Capping a whirlwind 24 hours after his switch from Penrith, Tighe was up at 5am and on an early morning flight from Sydney to the Gold Coast in order to join his new teammates in his new surroundings.

But the 29-year-old took it all in his stride and spoke of his excitement about his fresh start with the Titans.

Despite boasting more than 150 NRL games as an established centre, the speedster said he was determined to earn his place in the Titans' backline and was taking nothing for granted.

And off the field, he said his partner and young daughter were equally as excited about the move from Sydney's West to the Gold Coast.
