Bird keen to prove fitness for Nines

iSelect Gold Coast Titans Co-Captain Greg Bird has declared his intention to be fit for the Auckland Nines, after returning to pre-season training today.

Bird joined the rest of the Titans squad for his first session of 2014 after being given some time off following Australia's successful Rugby League World Cup campaign at the end of 2013.

The 29-year-old underwent minor elbow surgery after his return from the World Cup but says he will be oing his best to be fit the Auckland Nines on February 15-16.
