iSelect Gold Coast Titans enforcer Ryan James flew to Sydney today to officially launch the club's fiery new jersey which will be used at the inaugural Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines tournament.

James attended a press conference at Dick Smith's George Street store in Sydney where all 16 clubs officially unveiled their jerseys for the event, to be played at Eden Park from February 15-16.

Towering front rower James is expected to be named in Titans Coach John Cartwright's 16-man squad for the Nines when it is announced in the coming weeks.

The Titans fiery new design captures the speed and exhilaration of the eagerly anticipated Auckland Nines.

The one-off jersey features darker and bolder styling than the club’s traditional home and away jerseys, with the focal point being the flames and smoke filtering up through Titans helmets.

More than 20 different concept jerseys were used throughout the design process, which started in August last year.

The club’s aim was to develop an eye-catching design baring little resemblance to the club’s regular home and away strips in order to capture the fun and excitement of the event.

The jerseys, which retail for $129.95 each, is now available on the Titans Teamstore.
