There was good and bad news for our representative players today.

iSelect Titans winger Kevin Gordon has been called into the NSW Country Origin side in place of another Gordon, Sharks utility back Michael Gordon. However City Origin bench player Aidan Sezer has been ruled out of the side because of an ankle sprain suffered against the Tigers yesterday.

It is wonderful recognition for the 24-year-old Sawtell junior Gordon who last year was chosen in the Prime Minister's XIII. It has been a good past few months for him with a contract extension for three years and recording his 100th first grade appearance against Brisbane.

Nate Myles (bench) and Greg Bird (second row) have come through the Australian team's medical with no concerns.

It was also revealed halfback Albert Kelly would have been in the Country side but for the leg injury he suffered yesterday.
