About 450 children made the NRL backyard league holiday clinic at Pizzey Park the biggest and most successful, we believe, throughout the NRL clubs.
The vast amount of boys and girls aged 5-13 years mixed with their Titans heroes and had some fun activities during the six-hour carnival style event. It was the biggest turnout in the four years the popular clinic has been operating.
The day commenced with a Gold Coast Titans training session which was watched by many parents and their children, followed by eight interactive and educational stations that kids tackled hands on with the players supervising.
There was rock climbing, face painting and in the jumping castles and the Gold Coast Titans meet and greet stations saw many children’s dreams come true.
They were thrilled to each receive a football, boot bag, water bottle, kicking tee, NRL shirt, junior membership, lunch, plus time with the players. Some have already asked their parents to come back next year.
