Injuries certainly affected the Titans season in many ways. One was on the top points-scoring and top try-scorers lists.

Aidan Sezer, who played 13 matches, topped the side’s points with 63, not just the lowest in the league for a club’s best but the lowest of any NRL side for several years.

Newcastle were the only other club to have a top points-scorer who didn’t make the century in 2014, with Kurt Gidley on top with 86, ahead of fellow goal-kicker Tyrone Roberts with 73.

Anthony Don was the Titans’ top try-scorer in ’14 with nine. But don’t think he was the only club best on single figures. Sharks’ top was Sosaia Feki also with nine and Wests Tigers’ best was also a winger, Pat Richards with nine too.
