Despite having nine players out of action for the season opener, coach Neil Henry has come up with a competitive side to open the season against Wests Tigers at Cbus Super Stadium this Saturday.
Skipper Nate Myles, who last played in the front row, will start the season at lock to complete a revamped back row with Ryan James and Matt Robinson in the second row and Lachlan Burr coming off the bench.
Six players will make their Titans debuts – Robinson, Burr, hooker Kierran Moseley, centre Josh Hoffman, prop Eddy Pettybourne and interchange forward Agnatius Paasi. Paasi (Warriors), Burr (Bulldogs) and Moseley (Panthers) all have one NRL appearance to their record.
William Zillman will wear the No. 1 jersey with Hoffman selected at centre but coach Henry has hinted at rotating the two in those positions. Kevin Gordon has won back his wing position just ahead of Anthony Don.
