Million Paws Walk, RSPCA Queensland's biggest and most important fundraising event of the year, is on again this Sunday and as usual some of the Titans players will be taking part.
Ryan James and Nate Myles (they will be joined on Sunday by Greg Bird) took their canine friends out for a warm-up walk today in preparation.
Ryan and his fiancée Ana have their hands full with three dogs – Scruffy, Gilly and Bear - while Nate has his prized bulldogs Big and Snoop.
Nate is an ambassador for the RSPCA and Ryan has been a regular at Million Paws Walk when the Titans’ playing schedule allows.
“It’s a great cause and a real fun day too so I encourage people to head on out on Sunday and join in,” he said.
More than 20,000 people will walk at 19 different locations across Queensland to raise money and awareness for animal care in Queensland.
Even if you don't have a dog, you can still join a walk and raise vital funds. Money raised through online fundraising, the sale of merchandise and activities on the day will help to fund the RSPCA’s critical work in the community, including the care of more than 15,000 dogs entering shelters each year.
Every dollar raised will make a big difference and will assist them in reaching our goal of $540,000.
Taking part in the RSPCA Million Paws Walk is a great way to help animals in need. All animal lovers are encouraged to brush off their walking shoes, pull out their pet’s leash and bring along their ‘best friend’ to Australia’s leading pet event.
