Taylor dropped, Elgey out in several changes to Titans side

Head coach Neil Henry has sent second-rower Dave Taylor back to get some game time with Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Intrust Super Cup after showing inconsistent form in recent weeks.

Ben Ridge, who has worked hard defensively in his three games back in the NRL side after being sidelined with a pectoral injury since the pre-season, will move into the starting line-up in the back row and Matt Robinson, who has consistently been impressive with the Seagulls, comes onto the bench.

With skipper Nate Myles not available because of State of Origin duties with Queensland, Ryan James will captain the side for the first time. Eddy Pettybourne will wear Myles’ number 10 jersey with Matt White, demoted last week, back on the interchange bench.

Kane Elgey will be sidelined for four to six weeks with an ankle injury, meaning Daniel Mortimer will return to halfback and Kierran Moseley will start at hooker.
