James Roberts is an absolute flying machine who has been in brilliant form for Gold Coast this year and shapes up as a likely sensation in the Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines in February.

Roberts scored a whopping 16 tries in his first 21 games for the Titans this season - including a blistering effort against Canterbury at Central Coast Stadium recently.
Fox Sports commentator Greg Alexander, who covered the first two Auckland Nines tournaments for the network, says Nines football is made for a player like Roberts.
"He's the quickest bloke in the competition and the try he scored against Canterbury reminded us of that," Alexander says. "When he accelerates you swear his feet are going to come right out of his boots, he moves so fast.
"Roberts doesn't need any room to break defences half the time, so if he plays in the Nines and they get a bit of early ball to him it's going to spell trouble for the opposition."
The 2016 event will be held at Eden Park in Auckland on 6-7 February and tickets to "The Greatest Weekend" are now available at prices ranging from just $NZD69 (approx. $AUD61) for a two-day pass.
