Agnatius Paasi was awarded the LEDIfied Play of the Match in the Titans clash against the Cowboys.
If not for an overruling of the initial decision of 'try' by the on-field referee, it would have won the award as the NRL's most amazing try of the season.
After being put into space through a nice pass from Kane Elgey, Paasi tore away. Elgey was in support inside but Paasi went the other way ... and a try looked like it had gone begging when he was stripped of the ball by Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt.
But Paasi then returned the favour and stripped Feldt of the ball and ran away to score. It was truly one of the smartest plays of the season and deserved the reward of a try that could have possibly changed the game.
However, the extraordinary moment was ruined by the video refs claiming Feldt had completed the tackle on Paasi and thus should not have been able to strip the ball ... which replays show was correct. The Titans were awarded a penalty.
It was one of three Titans 'tries' disallowed on the night, two of them certainly controversial decisions but we still have to give 'Iggy' the play of the day.
