The Titans players were out and about in the community today and Todd Hands is one avid Aquis Titans fan who wasn’t expecting it.

The Titans received a request to pay a surprise visit to 26-year-old Todd who has suffered some major health issues he collapsed whikle playing with mates at age 11.

He has had a shunt inserted in his head and undergone radiotherapy but has been affected since.

He thought he was going to a routine physiotherapy session when Titans forwards Eddy Pettybourne and Agnatius Paasi surprised him with their appearance, leaving him with a signed GRT-Titans ball and autographed jersey … and a massive smile!

Soon after the prep and year one students at Currumbin primary school were ecstatic former student and now Titans and Prime Minister’s XIII halfback Kane Elgey was back to help them with reading exercises on their third last day of school for 2015.

“It was great to be back and brought back some happy memories,” said Elgey. “And it was good to help and encourage the kids about reading.”
