The Aquis Titans today launched their new playing strip for 2016, during an exclusive members’ only event at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, while also launching the theme park’s owner, Village Roadshow Theme Parks, as the club’s membership partner.
Warner Bros. Movie World provided a touch of spectacular theatre to the jersey launch, with players Ryan James, William Zillman, Greg Bird and Luke Douglas, appearing in the new playing strip attire at the end of a spectacular stunt show to 1500 of their closest fans.
As a result of the exclusive Theme Parks partnership, Titans members will receive access and ticketing offers to events at Warner Bros Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast, as well as special members events. The relationship started with a bang, as members attended the exclusive stunt show, signing session with the entire squad and the first night of White Christmas at Warner Bros. Movie World.
All theme park logos (Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast) will feature on various items of the Titans Membership apparel.
Warner Bros. Movie World General Manager, Greg Yong said: “It is great to be in partnership with the Aquis Gold Coast Titans. There is great synergy between our Village Theme Parks’ Members and the Titans fans and we look forward to a successful 2016.”
Club CEO Graham Annesley said: “This is another significant display of faith by the local business community in the future of the Aquis Gold Coast Titans. This club has not previously secured an exclusive membership partner at this level and we are extremely excited about the benefits the new partnership will deliver for not only the club, but more importantly, in recognising the critical contribution of our members.
“We look forward to working with Village Roadshow Theme Parks to further expand the range of experiences available to our members through their magnificent theme parks Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast.”
And the timing of the launch of a new look range of jerseys and apparel couldn’t have been better with The Aquis Titans and our apparel partner BLK (Beyond Limits Known) pulling out all stops to have the new look range of jerseys and apparel available in time for Christmas and the 2016 season.
The design elements in all, (bar the alternate jersey) reflect the core Titans helmet as part of the design.
“The concept behind the designs encompasses the Titans primary values of strength, pride and resilience – all key components of the club’s five year strategic plan,” Annesley said. “We’ve moved away from the traditional chevron V design, however our fans and members will still see the shape of the V embedded throughout the helmet incorporated on both the home and away jerseys.”
All jerseys remain true to the Titans’ original iconic colours, representative of the Gold Coast’s coastal beach lifestyle of surf, sun and sand. The home, away and heritage jersey designs will be seen on our players for the 2016 and 2017 seasons, however the Auckland 9s jerseys will change each year.
Jerseys are on sale now through the Titans Teamstore at shop.titans.com.au for $159.99.
It’s the third of a five-year partnership with the Gold Coast based international sports brand BLK.
Annesley added: “Today’s announcements are a great way to end 2015 for the club, the players and our members, sponsors, and corporate partners. Our new look jersey in many ways reflects the club’s rebirth in line with our strategic plan for continuous improvement both on and off the field.”
