The Aquis Titans have attracted the support of the World Gym at Burleigh Heads as a regular venue for weights sessions - with The Rock looking down from above.
The players certainly have an adequate facility at Pizzey Park, supplied by the supportive Burleigh Bears, but a different change of scenery and more space and extension equipment is also available at World Gym and strength coach Shaun Edwards is happy to is it as a break from usual surrounding.
Sitting high above the iron-pumping athletes is a mural of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson who trained at World Gym's Nerang club while filming on the Gold Coast in 2013.
There are several The Rock fans amopng the team, and Johnson is quite a rugby league fan.
One day a week the team also train at anothe rgreat facility at Casuarina at, and adjacent to, the Australian Surfing high performance unit.
