Scans on Tyrone Roberts’ knee today showed no significant ligament damage which was good news for the in-form five-eighth Tyrone Roberts but he remains in doubt for Friday’s clash with Brisbane Broncos at Cbus Super Stadium.

Roberts was replaced early in the second half against the Raiders last Saturday but the injury is not as serious as first thought, with it being predominantly bone bruising.

Prop David Hala suffered an elbow injury in Burleigh Bears’ win against Mackay Cutters on Saturday. We are waiting for the swelling to go down before he will undergo a scan on a suspected dislocated elbow, which is not good for the big man nicknamed ‘Papa’.

Karl Lawton is hopeful of making his return to the game in his first match of the season, for Tweed Heads against Townsville Blackhawks on Sunday (2pm), but will have to wait for an assessment later in the week.

CURRENT INJURED LIST:

David Hala (elbow – indefinite)

Karl Lawton (groin- rd 5/6)

Nathan Davis (shoulder – rd 6/7)

Nathaniel Peteru (knee – rd 6/7)

Oshae Tuiasua (knee – rd 8-10)

Kane Elgey (knee – season)

Matt Srama (knee – season)
