The good news this week is that prop Nathaniel Peteru is hoping to return from to the field this weekend after 10 weeks on the sideline since injuring his knee playing in the Auckland Nines.

He will have to pass a fitness test late in the week but he is hoping to be able to play for the in-form Burleigh Bears against Central Queensland Capras on Saturday.

There was not such good news for back-rower Ryan Simpkins who will miss the next couple of weeks after x-rays showed he had fractured his jaw playing for Tweed Seagulls the weekend before last.

Tyrone Roberts knee is progressing well but he has not been selected for the clash with the Dragons, and the coaching staff will keep an eye on how he progresses for the rest of this week as he increases his training program.
