Aquis Gold Coast Titans backs David Mead and Nene Macdonald have been named in the Papua New Guinea team to meet Fiji in the Pacific Test at Pirtek Stadium, Parramatta next Saturday night.

Mead will play fullback while Macdonald has been selected in the centres.

Macdonald played in last year’s Pacific Test, while a Sydney Roosters player weeks before his mid-season switch to the Titans, against Fiji at Cbus Super Stadium.

Mead, who had been selected in the NSW Country Origin side for the past two seasons, has not played for the Kumuls since the 2013 World Cup.

"My heart is always there with PNG, being from there and living for 12 years there," Mead told nrl.com.au before his selection yesterday.

Burleigh Bears prop Luke Page has also won selection after some impressive performances for the in-form Bears this season in the Intrust Super Cup.
