Since the Titans Junior Ambassador Program commenced in 2014 the program has gone on to become a great success and we appreciate the response the clubs in the region have provided us.

The program has been boosted this year by a sponsorship from Telstra Gold Coast. This partnership has seen Telstra Gold Coast donate over $10,000 of HART Sport training gear to all the junior clubs in the Ambassador Program on the Gold Coast and Tweed.

The best way to gauge the program’s progress is when to comes from those involved. So we are proud to share the bulletin board of comments from junior clubs, like those below:

“On behalf of the Nerang Roosters we wish to extend our appreciation for the time Kieren Wiggins took with our young ones this evening.
He was a winner with the kids and I can't thank him enough. A true asset to The Titans.” Michelle Fitzgerald, Nerang Roosters

“Just want to thank you for the visit last week. Hopefully gained some more Titans fans. Leivaha was great as he talked about not giving up on your dreams to the boys and explained the hard work that goes into playing NRL.” Shane Coburn, Beaudesert JRL

“Thanks so much for last nights visit. The kids really did enjoy it and Daniel is such a great ambassador, we are really lucky to have him. No bad feedback here, we appreciate all that you guys do for us and the gear was just an added bonus. Anthony Don was fantastic with the kids and everyone had high praises for him. Think the kids would love to play touch or tag against him next time, so we might arrange to have a game of that when his next visit is on, so prepare him!” Nicky Sheridan, Byron Bay Lennox Head JRLC

“Thanks to our Titans Ambassadors Josh Hoffman and Nate Peteru and Telstra for visiting our club today and spending time with a few of our teams. Thanks also to the Titans and Telstra for the donation of our new training gear.” Runaway Bay juniors

“Huge thanks to the Gold Coast Titans, Telstra Gold Coast and Tweed for piping down to training tonight and running a skills session and donating $500 worth of training gear to the club. What a great initiative from the Titans and Telstra as the kids always get a big kick out of seeing the players drop by.” – Helensvale Hornets JRLC

“Thanks Gold Coast Titans, especially Eddy Pettybourne and Kieren, for the visit to training today. Eddy and Gordon (from Telstra Business Centre, Tweed Heads) put big smiles on the kids’ faces. Also Eddy shared some very good advice to our boys about what it takes to get to play in the NRL and also some guidance about lifestyle choices, thanks Eddy. Big thanks to Gordon and Telstra Gold Coast for providing some new training equipment for our club and your support to the Titans.” – Cudgen Hornets JRLC

The program involves all the contracted Aquis Titans players being allocated to the clubs and each attending two training seasons a year and offering further support and interaction. Building a personal relationship with the junior league clubs and grassroots is so important as it encourages and supports potential future players and gives them insight into the NRL world.

Since having Telstra onboard there has been nothing but positive reinforcement and appreciation from the clubs which can be viewed on the junior clubs Facebook pages.

“Telstra Gold Coast and the Gold Coast Titans are passionate about our local community,” said Telstra Gold Coast’s area general manager Darren Clark.

Supporting grassroots rugby league and the community has been a priority for Telstra Gold Coast. Not only does this partnership benefit the clubs having elite talent visiting local clubs, it will also ensure that all clubs have the best resources available for them to play our great game.
