The NRL's Iron Man, Luke Douglas, plays his 250th first grade game when the team travels to Perth to take on the Rabbitohs. He talks about the milestone.

"It's pretty cool, it's a pretty big milestone - I just play every game as if it is my last and give my best effort," he said.

"To wrack up 250 games is pretty special,"said Douglas who admitted that when he moved to Cronulla as a teenager he just wanted "to kick around and maybe play a bit of reserve grade".

He knows how tough the nine-day trip west will be.

"Ï don't think they have lost there in Perth for the three years they've been going there.

"I like an away trip actually. It keeps everone together focussed on the job you don't have to cook, don't have to clean, everything is done for you.

"We have some momentum and the confidence we needed and hopefully we can carry that through the next two games."

Douglas will take his university study books with him too, with an assignment due shortly after his return to the Gold Coast.
