Big prop Leivaha Pulu, who hasn't missed a match in 2015, spoke to the media today about how he changed his habits to prove himself in the NRL.

A newcomer to the Acquis Titans this season, he has been somewhat of a revelation ... and not just for being part of our Hair Bears website characters.

'Vaha' talks about, as being a young father, how the 10 days away was testing for him and how he had altered his diet as he tries to improve and vindicate being on a full-time contract for the first time in his career.

"Just preparation, and consistency and my diet," he replied when asked what most has he learned from his full-time professional existence.

"I still have a long way to go but I'm willing to improve and learn what I need to do to become a footballer, not just for myself but for the team as well.

"I've learned a lot about myself and what my body can take, and not take. I was a person who never put carbs into my diet before but since being here I know that my body does needs carbs ... it has helped me a lot; I have played more minutes than I expected and it had helped my recovery as well."

Pulu also gave an insight into the impression Konrad Hurrell's great chase of a runaway Bevan French on Sunday had on the rest of the team.
