Local product Ryan Simpkins talks about how he kept positive during the misfortunes that saw him out of the Titans side for over a year.

Utility forward Simpkins last played in the Titans' outfit in round seven last year when he tore his ACL and was sidelined for the rest of the season.

After returning for feeder team Tweed Seagulls he fractured his jaw and had another month out but has fought back strongly to get his first NRL appearance for 2016 against Manly on Monday night.

"The toughest part was watching the boys play on the weekend and not being a chance to be part of it," he said.

“Once you get to the five to six-month mark, training is just as hard but there is np reward at the end of it.

“When I came back at the start of this year it was really hard, stop start because of injury but I’m ready to get into it now.
