Aquis Titans co-captain Nathan Friend says it is critical his team respects possession better than last round when they clash with Manly at Cbus Super Stadium tonight.

He expects the return of Manly skipper Jamie Lyon, who has been selected at five-eighth, as a major boost to the Sea Eagles who led Penrith 24-6 last week before falling away. After losing five straight, the return of Lyon and destructive forward Martin Taupau will greatly strengthen Manly while the Titans need to win to break from the log-jam of teams in the middle of the ladder and go to seventh place.

"There are six or seven teams around the same points but I'm not too concerned about where we are on the ladder it, it's about victory" Friend said.

"I guess Manly, coming off a loss in the fashion that they did, they'll be upset and keen to redeeem themselves."

On the expected return of Sea Eagles skipper Jamie Lyon, he said: "He's a champion player and has been for so many years for them. He's elusive and destructive down short sides and their last man option out wide to kick it. He has a really good boot on him as well."
