Venue - Cbus Super Stadium, Robina, QLD Photographer - Kylie Cox

Aquis Titans prop Ryan James has leapt to equal lead of the Dally M Medal count after polling again in Monday night’s victory over Manly Sea Eagles.

The Blues prospect may have had to watch Origin II last night hoping the NSW selectors will recognise him one day soon but in the meantime the judges in the NRL’s prestigious player of the year award have certainly taken note.

James has picked up six points in the last three games - three against the Rabbitohs in Perth, one against Parramatta in Darwin and two points against Manly on Monday night.

He shares the lead with four other players – Canberra’s tearaway early leader Josh Hodgson, Parramatta’s Corey Norman and Cronulla’s Andrew Fifita.

Ash Taylor is six points behind the leaders but has not polled in the past fortnight.

Ryan is now just three points behind the leader, Canberra’s Josh Hodgson, in the race for the prestigious medal awarded to the best player in the NRL competition.
