There si the announcement of Corey Parker's impending retirement, the game itself and the home crowd at Suncorp Stadium. The reverberating nise from the Maroons crowd the moment the Queensland team runs off is an amazing moment that lifts the Queensland team.

"There are going to be times when the team is doing it tough and looking for a bit of energy and the crowd often provides that energy," he said.

"We are looking forward to them coming through in their thousands with their maroon kit on and being really passionate. A lot has been said about the players and what Origin is about, to me most of Origin is about the fans and the support and the pasison they provide for the players to perform.
