Agnatius Paasi had to spend all his time in the back row with three selected forwards in the centres or off the field. He spoke after the match to Titans TV.

"We gave too many penalties coming out of yardage but we stuck to the task in the second half," he said.

"We hung in for 18-10 at half-trime but after another 10 minutes lost our way a bit."

He says Brenko Lee's intercept try at 24-10, which was a 12-point turnaround with Anthony Don likely to score if Zeb Taia's pass hadn't been intercepted, was the turning point.

"That was the turning point of the game, if we scored there it would have been a big confidence boosters," he said.

"We receive the kick off and maybe set for another try."
