During the recent trip to Darwin Titans TV caught up with Billy Johnstone, foundation Giants captain and Titans strength and conditioning coach.

The still super fit Johnstone is working for the Northern Territory Government encouraging fitness and discipline in NT youth, especially younf Indigenous people, youth welfare in the Top End and among his many physical challenges is a planned cycle race across the Simpson Desert.

He talks about the first Gold Coast-based team, the Giants who entered the competition the same year as the Broncos in 1988 and their classic first win against 'big brother' and the moulding of culture and character in the early days of the Titans.

It's a wonderful interview.

Former Giants, Seagulls, Chargers and Titans will come together to form a guard of honour in our Heritage Round clash with Parramatta on July 23.
