Chris McQueen knows that the Titans can control where they finish, from seventh place with seven rounds remaining, by winning the games that count.

Having won a premiership with South Sydney in 2014, he knows what the run in to the finals and the pressure of playing for a premiership are all about.

And the key, he says, is not looking too far in advance.

And he has no illusions about how tough Parramatta will be this Saturday at Cbus Super Stadium - the first of three games in a row at home.

"They've got absolutely nothing to lose with everything that has gone one at the club this year. We can't get ahead of ourselves ... we do have three games in a row at home which is good for us but we need to win every game for the rest of the season if we want to maintain that spot in the eight.

"We are in control of our destiny. As long as we keep winning games we are in control of our destiny and can maintain that spot in the eight, So it is good we are not relying on someone else."
