The Aquis Titans utility stocks have been dealt another blow with crafty hooker Kierran Moseley having his appendix removed after suffering from appendicitis which will likely rule him out for six weeks.
Moseley has been in good form for the Tweed Seagulls in the Intrust Super Cup and with Nathan Friend suffering a hamstring injury in last week's win over the Eels, could have played a part in the Titans run into the finals.
It has been a horror year for the Titans who lost utilities Daniel Mortimer (hamstring) and Matt Srama (knee) for the season early in the year before Karl Lawton suffered a severe broken leg in his debut match against the Warriors in Round 17.
The lone utility standing for the Titans, Ryan Simpkins was selected in Neil Henry's side to take on the in-form Cronulla Sharks in their match at Cbus Super Stadium on Monday.
This will be Simpkins fourth NRL game of the season with the utility set to offer support to Nathan Peats from the bench in the dummy-half role as the side looks to put an end to the Sharks 15-match winning streak.
