Telstra is bringing its national sponsorship of the NRL to the grass-roots through a new partnership with the Gold Coast Titans to provide training equipment and coaching sessions for 7 Group 1 NSW junior rugby league clubs.
As part of this partnership, Titans players will visit the Grafton Ghosts Junior Rugby League Gala Day on the 30th July 2016 where they will meet the teams, hold a signing and photo session then conduct coaching and running drills.
The partnership will also provide some new training equipment for each of the clubs including tackle bags and training footys.
The 7 nominated clubs are:
- South Grafton
- Grafton JRL
- Clarence Coast JRL
- Casino JRL
- Kyogle
- Lismore Marist JRL
- Ballina JRL
The region has produced several NRL players with many featuring in the Titans squad this year: Anthony Don (Grafton Ghosts), Luke Douglas (Lower Clarence Magpies), David Mead (Marist Bros. Lismore), Tyrone Roberts (Ballina Seagulls) and Brian Kelly (Ballina Seagulls).
The presentation of club equipment grants will commence 11am at the Grafton Ghosts Junior Rugby League Gala Day, Frank McGuren Field Corner of Powell and Cranworth Streets Grafton.
