As the look back on season 2016 continues we take you back to Round 13 where the Titans made the trip across the country to take on the Rabbitohs in Perth and left with the two points, after a 29-28 golden-point victory.
It was a near perfect first half of rugby league by the Titans with the side going to the half-time break leading 12-nil, after tries to Ryan James and Ash Taylor.
A solo effort from Tyrone Roberts in the 44th minute extended the lead out to 18-nil but in true Rabbitohs style, they remained in the game and scored two quick tries, closing the gap to 18-10 soon after.
James registered his double in the 57th minute but the Rabbitohs again answered back with two further tries. A try each in the final five minutes of play left scores all levelled up after the 80 minutes of play.
In true golden-point style, it was a field goal shootout and after Adam Reynolds missed his first two attempts but he managed to slot his third shot over, only to have it taken from him after prop forward Nathan Brown was ruled to have played as a ‘blocker’ in the lead up to the shot.
With the clock counting down, Taylor was the man of the moment when he slotted the one-pointer home in the 88th minute of play and the players swarmed to the halfback to celebrate the moment and win.
